A story that began in childhood
Sevim Moghaddam grew up with a deep love for the natural world — the kind of love that makes you stop and watch an ant carry a crumb three times its size, or marvel at a caterpillar slowly spinning its cocoon. These tiny moments of wonder never left her.
Born in Iran and now living in Canada since 2024, Sevim brings two rich worlds of storytelling tradition to her writing. Her books are shaped by Persian warmth and imagination, blended with the wide-open curiosity of her new home.
She created the Little Sara series to give children a magical doorway into nature — one where insects are not scary or strange, but wise, brave, and full of heart. Each book is a gentle adventure that teaches something real: about friendship, courage, change, and the beauty hiding in small places.

I wanted children to look down at the ground and feel wonder instead of fear. Every tiny creature has a story — and Sara gets to hear them all.

The idea for Little Sara came from a simple question: what if a child could shrink down and see the world from an insect's point of view? What would she discover? What would she learn?
Sevim believes that nature is the greatest teacher. The underground kingdom of ants, the transformation of a caterpillar, the delicate dance of butterflies — each holds a lesson that children carry with them long after the last page.
